Marketplace Rules

These rules apply to all marketplace listings on MSW. Following them keeps the marketplace trustworthy.

This document is provided for platform transparency and should be reviewed by a legal professional before official launch.

Accurate listing information

Provide accurate descriptions, condition, price and photos. Disclose defects.

Seller responsibility

  • Only list items you legally own or are authorised to sell.
  • Respond to legitimate buyer enquiries in good faith.
  • Honour the price and condition you advertised.

Buyer responsibility

  • Inspect items before purchase whenever possible.
  • Verify the seller and the item before sending money.
  • Use safe payment and shipping methods.

MSW is not a party to transactions

MSW only connects buyers and sellers. We do not handle payments, shipping or warranties, and we are not liable for disputes between users.

Reporting suspicious listings

Use the Report button on a listing if you suspect it is fraudulent, stolen, illegal or misleading.

Prohibited listings

  • Stolen or counterfeit items.
  • Items that infringe trademarks or copyright.
  • Items that cannot legally be sold.
  • Misleading or duplicate listings.

Instrument sale and rental

Clearly state whether an instrument is for sale or rental, and include all relevant terms (duration, deposit, condition).

Boosts

A paid boost increases the visibility of a listing. A boost is not an endorsement or verification by MSW.
